- OFFICIAL STATE SONG - O Fair New Mexico O Fair New Mexico, was written by Elizabeth Garrett, the blind daughter of famed sheriff Pat Garrett. In 1917, Governor Washington E. Lindsey signed the legislation making O Fair New Mexico the official State Song. In 1928 Americas most famous march composer and conductor, John Philip Sousa, presented Governor Arthur T. Hannett and the people of New Mexico an arrangement of the State Song embracing a musical story of the Indian, the Cavalry, the Spanish, and the Mexican.
- SPANISH LANGUAGE STATE SONG - Asi Es Nuevo Mexico Asi Es Nueva Mejico, written by contemporary composer Amadeo Lucero, was sung with guitar accompaniment to the assembled members of the 1971 Legislature by Lieutenant Governor Roberto Mondragon and was promptly adopted as the Spanish – language version of the state song.
- STATE BALLAD - Land Of Enchantment Michael Martin Murphey, a Taos resident, wrote "The Land of Enchantment" and in March 1989, the Legislature took action to declare it the State Ballad.
- STATE BILINGUAL SONG - Mi Lindo Nuevo Mexico Pablo Mares, a distinguised Music Educator, conductor and composer wrote "New Mexico - Mi Lindo Nuevo Mexico" in March 1995 the Legislatre adoped it as the state bilingual song.
